Get To Know The University Of Hawaiʻi At Hilo
Whether you are a new or returning student it is good for you to be aware of what UH Hilo services are available to support you through your academic journey.

Identify A Mentor
A mentor can be a source of support and guidance throughout your academic career and after. Getting to know a faculty or staff member that does work that you are interested in can provide you valuable insight into possible career paths.

Be Familiar With Your Syllabi
Your syllabi offer you a pathway through each of your courses. Your faculty will specify what is required in the course, a class schedule and how to contact them. Utilize this resource to ensure academic success.

Be COVID-19 Aware
Continue to protect both yourself and others from the risk of COVID-19 by wearing masks and maintaining social-distancing practices.

Make Self-Care A Priority
Taking time out of each day to care for yourself is essential to your overall well-being. Learning stress-management strategies and activities that help you to maintain stress levels will support you in building and maintaining resiliency.

Create A Routine
Create a routine that allows you to organize your tasks and maintain your well-being. Schedule designated times to study, for self-care, rest, eating healthy meals and socializing.
