lmportant avenue leading from Punchbowl to Kewalo Basin, Honolulu, named for Curtis Perry Ward, a Southerner who came to the Islands in the 1860s. He married Victoria Robinson; their home and estate, named Old Plantation, was on King Street at the site now occupied by the Honolulu International Center. The song "Old Plantation" (Elbert and Mahoe 83) honors this place.
