Beach, Kawaihae, Hawaiʻi. Small calcareous sand and coral rubble beach fronting Mailekini Heiau. Pelekane Beach is part of the Puʻukoholā Heiau Nalional Historic Site and is regarded as a sacred area. There is no sunbathing, swimming, picnicking, or camping permitted here.

  • Possibly for John Young, an Englishman who served as an advisor to Kamehameha I.
