olopua
/ olo.pua /1. n., A large native tree (Osmanthus sandwicensis), to 19 m high, in the olive family. It bears narrow or oblong leaves, yellowish flowers, and blue 1.3 cm- long fruits. The hard wood, dark-brown with black streaks, was used for spears, adze handles, and digging sticks.
