1. vt., To set aside, turn aside, deviate from, eliminate, discard, remove, lay aside, delete, omit, spare, stow away, cancel, be perverted from; to disqualify, suspend.

He would thus be said to kapae the spear. The word was much used formerly as applied to the mismanagement of a chief's property, to designate a kind of embezzling.
