Maui Ocean Center

Aquarium, Māʻalaea, Maui. Ocean center and aquarium at Māʻalaea Harbor that opened in March 1998. It features over a hundred species of marine life in several exhibits, including a 750,000-gallon ocean tank with a 54-foot-long acrylic tunnel. Built at a cost of $20 million, the ocean center is one of five worldwide operated by Coral World International, with other centers in Israel, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and two in Australia.
