Beach, cave, dive site, surf site, Mākua, Oʻahu. Calcareous sand beach that fronts Mākua Valley and that is part of Kaʻena State Park. Mākua Cave is a large lava tube on Farrington Highway near the south end of the beach. It is also known as Kāneana Cave. The dive site is off the south end of the beach and includes a ridge, two small pinnacles, and a channel at 45 feet. The surf site is also off the south end of the beach. Literally, parent.
