ʻoʻō
vi. To crow, as a rooster; cock-a-doodle-doo. Komo ka ʻuhane a loko o ke kino ā ka umauma, ā ka puʻu, ʻoʻō moa aʻela ʻo Ka-welu (For. 5:189), the soul entered within the body, up to the chest, to the throat, and then Ka-welu crowed like a chicken [a sign that she had been resuscitated].
