nvs., Hurt, in pain, painful, aching, sore, pained; pain, injury, ailment, suffering, soreness, aching; to hurt, pain, cause suffering or pang.
- Examples:
- ʻEha koni, throbbing ache; figuratively, throbbing love.
- He ʻeha konikoni i ka puʻuwai, the heart throbs with agony [of love].
- ʻEha i ka ʻeha lima ʻole, aching with an ache not inflicted by [human] hands [love].
- ʻA ʻole e ʻeha ke keiki o Kauaʻi iāʻoe (For. 5:411), you won't hurt the Kauaʻi lad.
