ʻūhā kapu
/ ʻū.hā kapu /n., A taboo lap, said of persons unable to raise children successfully, believed due to jealousy of an ʻaumakua (family god); a person with the taboo lap. (It was believed that children of the ʻūhā kapu would die unless reared by relatives.)
