The Veterans Business Outreach Center of the Pacific is a program of the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, funded in part by a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The Veterans Business Outreach Center of the Pacific (VBOC) is designed to provide entrepreneurial development services such as business training, counseling and mentoring, and referrals for eligible veterans owning or considering starting a small business.

Hawaii Veteran Small Business Awards 2019

The Hawaiʻi Veteran Small Business Awards were developed to:

• Recognize Hawaiʻi veterans who have made a significant contribution to the economy through ownership in a small business.

• Recognize veterans who have made a significant difference in their communities by promoting a sense of duty, volunteerism, and an appreciation of country, democracy, and freedom.

Award ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 6th, 2019 at the YWCA Courtyard (1040 Richards St #105, Honolulu, HI 96813, USA)

Boots to Business and Reboot

Boots to Business is an entrepreneurial education and training program offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as part of the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP). Boots to Business | Reboot is an entrepreneurial training program designed for Veterans and their dependents that have already made the transition back to civilian life. The curriculum continuum includes steps for evaluating business concepts, the foundational knowledge required to develop a business plan and information on SBA resources available to help access start-up capital and additional technical assistance. Veterans of all eras, Service members (including National Guard and Reserve) and their spouses are eligible to enroll in classes.
