General Education Students who complete their Associate of Arts degree will have fulfilled all General Education requirements for a Bachelor of Arts of Bachelor of Science in Geology
Writing intensive course requirements: The number of writing intensive courses required depends on the number of credits with which a student enters UH Hilo. Students who transfer with 60 credits will need to take 2 writing intensive courses, one of which must be at the 300/400 level. Writing intensive courses taken at Windward CC (100-200 level) will count toward the writing intensive requirement at UH Hilo.
Upper Division requirement: The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geology requires 34 (for the Bachelor of Arts) or 30 (for the Bachelor of Science) credits numbered 300 and above None
Hawaiian/Asian/Pacific requirement: 3 credits Many Windward CC courses will satisfy the Hawaiian/Asian/Pacific requirement at UH Hilo. Please consult your academic advisor.
