Notes

  1. Applied Math Course (choose 3 courses from the following): MATH 300 , MATH 301 , MATH 360 , MATH 371 , MATH 375 , MATH 380 , MATH 407 , MATH 408 , MATH 422 , MATH 441 .
  2. Upper Math Reasoning Course (choose 3 courses from the following): MATH 311 , MATH 324 , MATH 424 , MATH 431 .
  3. MATH 211 and MATH 220 may be taken in the second year. The DATA courses may be taken at any convenient time.
  4. MATH courses numbered from 301-489 are usually offered once every other year. So MATH 424 and MATH 431 may need to be switch between years 3 and 4.
  5. MATH 490 and MATH 491 Senior Capstone I and II are taken in the last two semesters before graduation or both can be taken in the last semester before graduation.
  6. Students must earn at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA in courses required for the major.
  7. At least 45 credits must be earned in courses at the 300- and 400- level.
  8. Some students may place into a course below MATH 241 . It is recommended that students work up to MATH 241 as quickly as possible to ensure timely progress through the major. The DATA requirements can be moved to the first year in this case.
