  4. MATH 314 is a recommended elective preceding MATH 431 .
  5. MATH 324 is a recommended elective preceding MATH 424 .
  6. Math courses in Years 3 and 4 (Spring semester) may be switched as MATH 424 and MATH 431 are offered alternating years.
  7. It is recommended that students take a course in Group A before taking MATH 424 and MATH 431 .
  8. Students must earn at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA in courses required for the major.
  9. At least 45 credits must be earned in courses at the 300- and 400- level.
  10. Some students may place into a course below MATH 241 . It is recommended that students work up to MATH 241 as quickly as possible to ensure timely progress through the major.
