Notes

  1. Math placement test must be taken before registering for any MATH class. Please see list of all certified FQ: Quantitative Reasoning courses.
  2. All upper division business courses (300-400 level) and some lower division (100-200 level) have prerequisite courses which must be taken before registering for the course. In order to ensure timely progress through the BBA program be sure to check the catalog to determine which courses have prerequisites.
  3. The State of Hawaii requires 150 hours of college to obtain a permit to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Additional semester hours in business earned past the 121 semester hours required for the BBA with Major in Accounting degree will apply towards this requirement.
  4. Residence Requirement: BBA candidates must complete at least 24 of the credits used to satisfy upper-division Business core, Accounting core, and Business and Accounting elective requirements while in residence at UH Hilo.
