Notes

  1. Schedules will vary with the results of the math placement test. Some students will take MATH 140X in the Fall and MATH 125 in the Spring. Students that test into MATH 125 can take any GQR GE course for the "second math course" in the Spring of Year-1.
  2. Students must take at least two of the following four GEOL Core Courses: GEOL 330 , GEOL 340 , GEOL 342 , GEOL 370 . Students that do not take all of these courses will substitute another upper division GEOL course (but not GEOL 320 , GEOL 495A , or GEOL 495B .)
  3. Students may substitute selected courses from Geography, Marine Science, or Soils for up to two upper division GEOL electives.
  4. GEOL 370 is a GCC course, so students taking GEOL 330-370 sequence may take a general elective instead of a GCC course.
  5. The following courses must be completed with a "C" or better: All geology courses listed above, MATH 125 , CHEM 151-151L , PHYS 151-151L , and the non-geology alternative courses substituting for geology core courses.
  6. At least 36 semester hours must be earned in courses numbered 300-400. Requirements in the major supply 30-32 of these.
  7. Upper refers to upper division (numbered 300 or greater.)
  8. CHEM 161-161L may be substituted for CHEM 151-151L .
  9. PHYS 170-170L may substitute for PHYS 151-151L .
  10. MATH 241 may substitute for MATH 125 .
