UH Hilo, College of Arts & Sciences, general funds, temporary, full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track appointment to begin approximately August 2013, pending position clearance and availability of funding.


Teach 12-credit load each semester of courses in introduction to psychology, statistics and/or research methods, and other area(s); provide academic advising to students.

Minimum Qualifications

A master’s degree in psychology or a closely related field from an accredited university by the time of employment; ability to teach introduction to psychology, and either statistics or research methods.

Desirable Qualifications

Ability to teach both statistics and research methods. Ability to teach one or more of the following courses: Developmental Psychology, Personality, Social Psychology, Abnormal Psychology; experience teaching, advising, or counseling in a multi-cultural setting; a doctoral degree in psychology or a closely related field.

Pay Range

Commensurate with training and experience.
