UH Hilo, College of Arts and Sciences, general funds, full-time, temporary, non-tenure-track, nine-month appointment, to begin approximately August 2013, pending position clearance and availability of funds. Renewal of appointment dependent upon positive review and availability of funds.


Teach biological science lecture and laboratory courses in general biology, cell and molecular biology, ecology or biostatistics; participate in on-going course and curriculum development activities; advise students; carry out departmental and university service activities.

Minimum Qualifications

MS in biology or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university, ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English.

Desirable Qualifications

Ph.D. in Biology and/or significant teaching experience at the college or university level. Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses in areas related to general biology, cell and molecular biology and ecology or biostatistics.

Pay Range

Commensurate with training and experience
