Group Visits

Students visiting a farm

Do you have a school or community group that wants to visit UH Hilo? If so, we can work with you to customize a group experience.

You will have an opportunity to receive an admissions presentation about the admissions process and answer any questions you may have about attending UH Hilo and then get a private tour of campus.

  • We ask that you provide 1 adult chaperone for every:
    • 10 Middle School students
    • 15 High School students

How long should I expect the visit to take?

Expect to spend about 1.5 - 2 hours on campus with us.

  • We will arrange for a 30 minute presentation by one of our Admissions Staff.
  • The Walking Tour will take about an hour.

When are the Group Visits?

Group Visits can be arranged available Monday - Friday during the academic year. Please let us know if mornings (9:30am) or afternoons (2:00pm) are better for you.

You can schedule a group visit a minimum of 4 week prior to your visit; however, more time is always appreciated. We do not offer visits on days that the University is closed (weekends, state holidays, etc.)

Please do not make other arrangements for your visit until you receive your confirmation from our tour coordinator.

Where should I go?

On the day of your visit you should plan on arriving a few minutes early. When you arrive enter through the main entrance off of K─üwili Street. Give the Security Officer your group name and they will show you where to park. Group tours will begin at the Student Services Center.

Depending on your group size, most tours begin in room W-201 of the Student Services Center
