Leonard Woods has been directing education equity programs since 1973 and with the UH Hilo Student Support Services Program since 2010. He looks forward to meeting and assisting you as you pursue your educational goals en route to a fulfilling career and life. SSSP personnel are committed to assisting you.

Janis has been with the Student Support Services Program since 1994. She will be glad to assist you with academic advising, financial aid counseling, and any general questions you may have about the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo.

Norine has been with the University since 1989, providing clerical
support, the majority of it with the Student Support Services Program. She'll be happy
to help you schedule appointments with either the staff or tutors, answer
general questions or assist you with using the student computers.

Desha has been at UH Hilo since Spring 2012 and collaboratively works with SSSP and the Pacific Islander Student Center by providing various support services for Pacific Islander students. She has had the privilege of living in Chuuk, FSM and has traveled throughout the region. She can help you with your transition into the university, academic advising, financial aid counseling, and any general questions you may have about the university and its services.

Jeanne has worked in higher education, since 2004 and started working at UH Hilo in 2016. Her background and interest are in social justice and equity in education. As a Counselor for the SSSP program, she hopes to empower students to take an active role in their education and to support their academic, personal, and professional development.
