Families of Freedom Scholarship

Deadline: Application is required each year


  • Applicants must be dependent children, spouses, domestic partners, including airplane crew and passengers who were killed or are permanently disabled due to the terrorist attacks on 9/11.
  • Also World Trade Center and Pentagon workers and visitors, relief workers, including firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and law enforcement personnel who were involved in the rescue efforts who were killed or are permanently disabled as a direct result of the terrorist attacks in the United States on Tuesday, September 11, 2001
  • Applicants may be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States by age 24.

Federated States of Micronesia

Primary purpose: To encourage FSM citizens to pursue a post-high school education

Deadline: By July 1st


  • Any FSM citizen is eligible to apply, provided he/she will be, at the time of award, a high school graduate (or GED recipient) enrolled and attending, or accepted to attend, an accredited institution of higher education in the upcoming school year or semester.
  • Scholarship funding is available for both undergraduates and grad-students.
  • Applicant must be full time in order to be awarded with the scholarship (Full time load is as follows).
    • At least 6 credits per semester for doctorate degree
    • At least 9 credits per semester for masters degree
    • At least 3 credits per trimester for online graduates
    • At least 12 credits per semester for undergraduates
  • Applicant must maintain a grade point average of at least 2.5 for undergraduates and 3.00 for graduates/post-graduates each semester.
    • Prior to receiving the funding, applicants are required to send official transcripts to the address stated below.

Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaiʻi Foundation Scholarships

Deadline: February 15, 2017

Eligibility: Applicant must be a Hawaiʻi resident

  • Applicant must be a high school senior graduating high school grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Applicant must be accepted to a four year college or university
  • Applicant must complete the application and provide all required documents by the stated deadline. The Scholarship Judges reserve the right to request supplemental materials from any applicant.
