Students interested in earning a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences

Utilizing the extraordinary intellectual, biological, physical and cultural diversity of its geographic region as a focus of investigation and study, the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy (DKICP) at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo is proud to offer a Ph.D. program in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences Program

This program, which is the only program of its type in the Pacific region, is aimed at students with B.S., M.S., or Pharm. D. degrees and those currently working in the field. It provides graduate training in the Pharmaceutical Sciences including:

  • Cancer Research
  • Drug Discovery
  • Medicinal Chemistry
  • Pharmacology
  • Pharmaceutics
  • Pharmacognosy

Undergraduate students interested in getting experience in Biomedical or Biobehavioral Research

Our objective is to increase the number of Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, African Americans, Hispanics (includes Filipinos), Alaskan/Native Americans, students with documented disabilities, Pell Grant eligible students in furthering research.

Available for UH Hilo registered students, Sophomore status or above.

We cultivate researchers by:
