Hawaiʻi Scholars Award
The Hawaiʻi Scholars Award is given to incoming freshmen who graduated from a Hawaiʻi high school and who earned a cumulative high school GPA of 3.8 or higher. Awardees receive $1,000 per year towards their full-time enrollment at UH Hilo. This award is renewable for up to four years.
Application Deadline
Automatically awarded to incoming freshmen on a first-come, first-served basis until maximum available funding is met.
Eligibility Criteria
- Apply to UH Hilo and be accepted as a classified student
- Graduate from Hawaiʻi high school
- Cumulative high school GPA of 3.8 or higher
Expectations
Hawaiʻi Scholars Awardees will be expected to:
- Maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student at UH Hilo.
