Esports & Gaming Lounge
The Esports and Gaming Lounge has moved to Lava Landing located in the Campus Center rm 204. Open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30am-3:30pm and, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am-2:00pm. Closed on holidays, weekends, and summer/winter breaks.
The UH Hilo Esports space currently operates as a casual gaming lounge and hangout space for students. The lounge is equipped with gaming desktop PCs, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch consoles, giving students access to a variety of games across platforms.
This space is designed for recreational play, whether you’re gaming solo, playing with friends, or just looking for a place to relax and unwind between classes. No competitive experience is required—students are welcome to drop in, connect, and enjoy games at their own pace.
At this time, there are no official UH Hilo Esports program or varsity teams. Any competitive teams or organized gameplay (such as Super Smash Bros. or other titles) are currently facilitated through approved Registered Independent Student Organizations (RISOs) or clubs.
The Esports Lounge remains a flexible, student-focused space centered on fun, connection, and casual gaming.
