Student Life Center Alumni Memberships are now on-sale. This opportunity is limited to UH Hilo graduates!

Enjoy the 2,300 sq/ft Student Life Center including the full line of free weights, Life Fitness exercise machines and a fleet of cardio equipment. Membership is full-access, including the usage of the 50-meter swimming pool, large open deck, two group fitness/martial arts rooms,locker rooms, an indoor café and lobby/cyber lounge.

Alumni Membership Benefits

1. Access to the Student Life Center

Alumni will be allowed the opportunity to purchase a full-access membership to the Student Life Center. Several Alumni membership plans are available.

Membership Plans

  • Monthly $55.00 - recurring payments available
  • Six months $320.00
  • One year $600.00

Important: Limited time offer. A cap has been placed on the total number of Alumni memberships. Once the maximum capacity is reached, a waiting list will be created.

Please note that yearly and six month memberships are non-refundable for any reason. Monthly membership may be cancelled at any time prior to the automated monthly charge.

2. Aloha Guest Day Pass

Student Life Center Alumni members may purchase an Aloha Day Pass for their family or friends to access the facilities. The Aloha Day Pass entitles the guest to use all recreational facilities for one day. To purchase, the alumnus must present his/her valid Alumni membership card (or a receipt if the card has not been received) and photo ID (i.e. Driver’s License) to the Student Life Center Front Desk and pay the $11 fee. A waiver form must be signed for each visit. There is no limit to the number of Aloha Guest Day Passes an alumnus may purchase (one at a time) during the year.

Alumni who are not Student Life Center members may enter the building only as a guest of a current Student Life Center Member. Guest must have valid identification (drivers’license/passport) and must pay a $11 Aloha Guest Day Pass rate.

3. Campus Recreation Programs

Imua Fitness Classes

  • Available to all members. Classes include yoga, zumba, bootcamp and many more. Some classes require a nominal fee.

Body composition testing

  • Available to all members. Testing is offered several times a semester.

Clinics and seminars

  • Available to all members. Education on topics such as stress reduction, nutrition, strength training and more, plus access to the annual Fitness Day Fair.

4. ʻOhana Hours (family hours)

ʻOhana Hours are designated times for members to bring their families and children (17 and under) to utilize the Student Life Center pool and locker room facilities. In the fall and spring semesters, ʻOhana times are 9am-6pm on Saturdays and 12pm-6pm Sundays. Hours during holidays will vary. The weight room area is off limits to families during Ohana hours. For more information, please see the ʻOhana Pool usage webpage. Only children of Student Life Center members are eligible for ʻOhana usage. Non-members utilizing an Aloha Guest Pass are not eligible to bring their family.

How Do I Sign-up?

A Degreed Alumni can present his/her old UH Hilo student ID or another photo ID (i.e. Driver’s License) to the Membership Services Desk located in the Student Life Center - Campus Recreation and Wellness Offices. After I.D. / degree confirmation, alumnus can pay the fee for their selected membership plan (credit card, cash or check). Re-occurring credit card payments are available for month-to-month memberships. After payment, a membership ID will be created on site for immediate usage of the facility.

Parking

Parking permits are available for Student Life Center Members. Simply present your Student Life Center membership card to the UH Hilo Parking Office to purchase a parking sticker.
