This memo is to certify that we as Deans and Directors, of our respective colleges with the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo as a campus, are willing to accept transfer credits from quarter institutions which meet the spirit of our UH Hilo course. A fractional credit to count as fulfilling the requirements for General Education as explained below beginning Fall 2018:
General Education Courses within Diversity, Foundation and Structural requirements of which the requirement is set at 3 credits per course, will be accepted as 2.66 transfer credits as meeting the requirement. Additionally, courses meeting the Natural Sciences, Science Laboratory requirement, which is currently set at 1 credit, will be accepted as .66 transfer credits as meeting the requirement.
All other requirements must still be met in order for a student to receive a degree from the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, to include but not limited to all credit requirements for each degree awarded.
