As the UH Hilo lead within the 3-university consortium, Sharon guides the development of the MCC and PI-CASC's broader actionable research efforts across the Pacific, which bridge the professional networks of natural and cultural resource managers, policy professionals, communities and interdisciplinary research teams.

Scott helps coordinates the MCC, facilitating collaborative research projects and stakeholder-driven forums within the MCC's professional networks.
The MCC partners with the Tropical Conservation Biology and Environmental Science Graduate Program at UH Hilo and is a part of the larger tri-university consortium of the Pacific Islands Climate Adaptation Science Center (PI-CASC).
