Welcome to our ʻOhana

Congratulations! You are now a Vulcan! We are excited that you've chosen to attend the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo! We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our ʻohana (family).

Orientation will provide you the tools needed to succeed during your first year here at UH Hilo. Whether you have just finished high school or are transferring in with a degree already earned, Orientation will set you up for success. You will meet people from diverse backgrounds, make new friends, have an opportunity to meet with faculty and staff, answer any questions about your schedule or credits that transferred, and learn about opportunities to get involved to make the most of your college experience!

To ensure your successful transition to your new university, all first time UH Hilo students are expected to register and participate in Orientation.
