We want to stay in touch! If you haven’t already done so, visit MyUH and activate your student ID and UH email address. Your UH email address will be used by all University offices for official communication. Also, verify that your address, telephone number, and email addresses are current. Make updates if necessary. Also, check your residency status to ensure you are charged the correct tuition rate.
If you are a transfer student admitted to the university who is seeking entry into one of the following programs, we recommend you review the admission criteria for your intended academic program.
Review on-campus housing options and meal plans. Housing assignments are made based on the date of completed housing application. To ensure you receive your preferred housing assignment, do not delay! For more information about on-campus housing visit the University Housing website. Visit the University Dining Services website for information about meal plans and weekly menus.
All new students must submit a Mandatory Health Requirements form, and proof of immunizations to the Student Medical Services no later than July 1 for the Fall semester, and December 1 for the Spring semester.
To get to know UH Hilo better before classes start, we highly recommend that transfer students sign up for New Student Orientation. Orientation takes transfer students into consideration, and where are workshops and events that are created for them.
You must submit official transcripts from each institution attended.
The Office of Admissions will evaluate your transcript to determine which credits are transferable to UH Hilo. You can visit Admissions to see what your classes will transfer.
UH Hilo does not mail tuition bills. Once you are registered for classes, check your tuition due at MyUH. You can also sign up for the e-refund option to permit financial aid and student refunds to be directly deposited into your personal bank account. Tuition and fee information can be found in the catalog.
Obtain your UH Hilo ID card at the Lava Landing. If you plan to park on campus, purchase your parking permit. Purchase your textbooks from the UH Hilo Bookstore.
