Transfer Student Success Team

Shelley Phu, Program Coordinator for Transfer Student Initiatives

Shelley Phu

I was born in San Jose, California, and then my parents decided to move to Hilo when I was about two years old. I've been at UH Hilo since 2011, but attended UNLV for a semester through the National Student Exchange program. I enjoy traveling to new places, and learning about the history of the area. I also volunteer at Waiakea Waena Elementary school with a kindergarten class. I do not intend to become a teacher, but I love working with children.
