Join us from 9am-12pm on Fridays, March 17-April 21, for 6 sessions of Medical Terminology! Instructor Maleen Martin, RN, introduces students to the anatomy and physiology of body systems and the corresponding medical terms related to them. For each body system, broad coverage of anatomy, physiology, pathology, diagnostic procedures, treatment procedures, and pharmacology is provided. The class emphasizes both terms built from Latin and Greek word parts, and modern English terms, helping students develop a full working word part vocabulary they can use to interpret any new term.
State of Hawaiʻi Workforce Development Division may be able to subsidize up to 100% of tuition costs for participants that qualify. Deadline to apply is March 3rd.
- Employers may be eligible for a subsidy through the Employment & Training Fund.
- Deadline to apply for ETF is March 3 (ten working days before class start date).
- Funding currently available through the State of Hawaiʻi Workforce Development Division to support training and employee development in areas of current and future skills need. Employers, please apply at the State of Hawaiʻi Workforce Development Division.

Annual Security Report Availability
The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo's Annual Campus Security Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on-campus, in certain off-campus buildings, property owned or controlled by UH Hilo, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning sexual assault, and other matters. You can obtain a copy of this report by contact UH Hilo Campus Security, (808) 974-7911, located in Room 151 of the University Classroom Building, or by visiting the Campus Security website.
