National Coming Out Day

Location: Campus Center Plaza

National Coming Out Day is an internationally observed civil awareness day celebrating individuals who publicly identify as LGBT. "Coming out", or publicly disclosing one's sexual orientation and/or gender identity, can be a cultural rite of passage for some LGBT people, and in honor of this, Pride Hilo and the Social Justice Club will be co-sponsoring an afternoon full of information and fun activities.

These will include NOH8 face-painting, tabling, free snacks, showing of LGBT-friendly music videos, a photo-booth, and testimonials from UH Hilo/HawCC students. Please stop by and wear green on this day to show your support!
