Seminar: coastline restoration

Seminar By Megan Lamson, HWF Debris Project Coordinator
"HWF's Restoration Projects along the Wai'ohinu Coastline (SE Hawai'i Island)"

Megan Lamson will introduce the local non-profit organization, Hawai'i Wildlife Fund (HWF), and Wai'ohinu, a coastline rich with natural and cultural resources. Lamson will discuss HWF's restoration projects and conservation efforts over the past decade in Ka'u; including over nine years of marine debris removal, several years of anchialine pond restoration work, and an introduction to future efforts with invasive plant species removal along the Wai'ohinu coastal strand. Lamson will also present internship and volunteer opportunities to kōkua with this special stretch of shoreline.
