HPC Grant Presentations Go Live

Location: UH Hilo, UH Manoa, Kauai CC, Kapiolani CC, The Maui Resource Technology Center, Maui CC

Live presentations of results from the 2006-07 Engagement Grants in High Performance Computing (HPC) will be presented over the UH HITS2 network on August 28 and 30. Attendance is open to sit in on the presentations conducted by five Faculty/Student teams which will originate from Kuykendall 201 on the UH Manoa campus and be broadcast to locations at Kauai CC, Kapiolani CC, The Maui Resource Technology Center, Maui CC, and U of H at Hilo. For details concerning attendance at any of these sites contact a site coordinator through the HITS2 website: www.hawaii.edu/dl/location/

All the projects were performed during the last academic year and, although they are in widely variant technical fields, they all required HPC resources to complete and each project had to use computing resources of the Maui High Performance Computing Center. To follow news on these presentations, and new grant awards for the 2007-08 academic year, visit the HPC at UH website: www.hawaii.edu/hpc/
