The Island Feeding the Island: Kuleana in Hawaiʻi Island's Food System
Join our Kuleana and Community Talk Story with Leelen Park!
Leelen Park is Director of Communications and Public Relations at The Food Basket, Hawaiʻi Island's food bank, and has spent fifteen years connecting people on this island to resources and opportunities.
Most people picture a food bank as a warehouse full of canned goods. This session looks at what Hawaiʻi Island's food system actually is, the farmers, families, retailers, and neighbors holding it up, and where each of us already has a kuleana in it.
