Spring New and Transfer Student Orientation

Location: Campus Center Plaza

Photo: Class of 2024 fall orientation attendees and administration. 2025 Spring New Student Orientation. Thursday January 9, 2025 through Saturday January 11, 2025. The schedule includes: student IDʻs, Kīpaepae & Convocation, Downtown Hilo Huakaʻi, Campus, Library, Student Life Center, and ʻImiloa Astronomy tours. Registration opens November 11th and closes on December 25th, 2024.

The UH Hilo community welcomes new and transfer students to the Vulcan ʻOhana. Our UH Hilo administration, faculty, staff, and students are thrilled to have you start your higher education journey here with us! Our Spring 2025 orientation is designed to help students prepare to succeed both in and out of the classroom. You will have the opportunity to be part of our traditional welcome ceremonies and become familiar with our campus and community all before your first day of instruction. Welcome to the ʻohana.

Special Restrictions: New and Transfer students should register online to participate in orientation.
