PI-CASC - What Can We Do Together?
Location: In-person at Wentworth Hall, Room 1, or online via Zoom at https://hawaii.zoom.us/j/99679339976 (passcode: TCBES)
Speaker: Mari-Vaughn Johnson
We know that climate change is not theoretical. It is happening now. We are responding to the urgent situation by working with local knowledge holders and researchers to develop effective adaptation strategies founded in diverse knowledge and grounded in place. Our research is driven by a reverence for the biodiversity of our islands and oceans and for the knowledge held by Pacific Island cultures that have developed and thrived here over millennia. Through a comprehensive, holistic, and engaging approach, our goal is to support researchers like you to produce accessible, relevant, place-based bodies of knowledge that propel informed action by our communities and natural and cultural resource managers. Collaboration is our foundation. Come connect with PICASC so together we can identify and work towards how to best move forward actionable science that meets real community adaptation needs.
