This seminar offers graduate students an opportunity to explore the intersection of academic professionalism and community-driven environmental work. The session will highlight the importance of cultivating professional skills such as effective communication, ethical practices, and collaborative leadership within academic settings. Additionally, it will emphasize how these skills are critical when engaging with local communities in conservation and environmental science projects. By understanding the balance between academic rigor and meaningful community involvement, students will be better equipped to contribute to impactful, culturally sensitive, and sustainable conservation efforts.
