Huakaʻi to Honokea Loko ~ Fishpond at Waiuli in Hilo

This is one of our four in-person mālama ʻāina or volunteer environmental/cultural stewardship excursions (huakaʻi) to celebrate Lā Honua / Earth Day throughout the month of April. Join our host Hui Hoʻoleimaluō as we mālama ~ steward the loko ~ fishpond and surrounding ʻāina of this coastal area of Hilo. Be prepared for a morning of hana ~ work, sharing of moʻolelo wahi pana ~ stories of place, and mele hula!

Please make sure to register early as spots are limited.

Special Restrictions: This in-person huakaʻi is open to faculty, staff and students from UH Hilo and Hawaii CC but space is limited.
