The Physics of Pō and The Pō of Physics

Location: UCB 112

Join us for a special campus presentation by Dr. Larry Kimura of Ka Haka ʻUla O Keʻelikōlani and Dr. Doug Simons of Canada-France-Hawaiʻi Telescope on studies done on the first 11 lines of the Kumulipo, incorporating astronomy theories of the origins of the Universe. Kumulipo is a significant and historic Hawaiian creation record that is over 2,000 lines long. It tells of the fathomless source of power (deep darkness) that evolves increasingly into complex life forms.
