Maunakea Weather Ctr: More than Forecasting Passing Showers

Location: UH Hilo Science & Technology Building (STB) Room #108

A Maunakea Speaker Series presentation by Ryan Lyman, Maunakea Weather Center. Ryan Lyman will discuss the history and overview of the Maunakea Weather Center as well as the products and services provided. In addition, he will share his knowledge on the construction of a custom weather forecast for the Maunakea Observatories and staff, with particular emphasis on atmospheric turbulence and ‘Seeing.'
