8th Annual Slam Against Violence

Location: Campus Center Room 301

UH Hilo Men of Strength invites you to the 8th Annual Slam Against Violence ft. UH Hilo's own Zach Street! Bring a poem* that makes the world safer for women – it can honor a woman in your life, expose the tragedy of sexual assault, or simply encourage respect! The top poets will earn prizes, and funds will be raised for the YWCA Sexual Assault Support Services program.

* The poem can be your own, or that of another poet. 3 minute limit, memorization is great, but not required.

Even if you don’t want to “Slam,” please attend & bring cash to buy lei for the poets (that’s how we determine winners), all $$ raised goes to the YWCA!
