Introduction to American Motion Pictures

This fascinating presentation establishes an informational baseline for students seeking to take screenwriting and video production workshops. This presentation will cover the birth and development of American cinema in regards to technology, art, and social impact of the medium. Students will learn how motion pictures were discovered, and how the resulting art form and business continues to evolve today. Topics include: the Silent Era, “first seen, now heard”, and the advancement of the art.
Taught by Artin Mardirtousi – professional Los Angeles videographer and Philosophy graduate of UCLA, emphasizing motion pictures and cinematography.
Free parking after 4:00pm.
