Social Media for Beginners Workshop

Location: UH Hilo Campus, Library Room 359 - Free Parking

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google+ are establishing themselves as the preferred communication standards across the globe. Social media addresses are as common as e-mail accounts now days. Everyone knows someone with a social media account. Almost everyone has a Facebook account these days. It’s on our computer, phone, at our workplace, on television, in the news… It’s everywhere. In this workshop, learn the differences between popular social media types, how to set up your account, manage privacy settings, establish a network of friends, post events, video chat, integrate your mobile device, and much more.

Special Restrictions: Prerequisites: Ability to operate a computer. USB recommend
