Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) - Workshop May 13-15

Location: Hawaiian Studies Building

This 3 day workshop will cover the essential knowledge an organization needs to know to safely and legally integrate UAS operations into their daily work objectives. This introductory workshop will consist of a series of live demonstrations, hands-on UAS simulations, and computer processing techniques working with UAS-derived data. Topics will include: Mission planning and execution, choosing the right fixed wing or copter platform, writing and applying for a FAA Certificate of Authorization application (COA), videography vs. mapping, creating high resolution orthorectified imagery, using Structure from Motion technology to create 3D digital surface models, and change detection applications.
