Keauhou Bird Conservation Center Open House 2014

Location: Keauhou Bird Conservation Center

Aloha! The Keauhou Bird Conservation Center is hosting our annual open house December 13th and 14th of 2014 and anyone who is interested in joining us is welcome. Come see Hawaii's rarest birds, including the Kiwikiu, Puaiohi, Palila, and 'Alala, and learn how our program is working to restore the wild populations of these critically endangered animals. Due to overwhelming interest in our tours, we have added a second day to our schedule and are offering tours at 8am, 10am, 12pm, and 2pm on both days.

We are located near the Volcano Golf Course and will be providing shuttles in from our main gate for each tour. Our open house is a free event, although donations are welcome since we are a non-profit organization, and snacks and refreshments will be provided. Reservations are required...so be quick before all our spots are filled! Interested parties can contact us by calling 808.985.7218 or emailing us at kbccopenhouse@gmail.com.

We encourage students and young professionals to join us and become advocates for the environmental, biological, and cultural health of our island community. We look forward to meeting you at the Open House!
