Web accessibility update for UH faculty and staff: Additional resources are now available to support UH’s compliance with accessibility of online resources.

The University of Hawai’i System is committed to ensuring communications with individuals with disabilities are as equally effective as communications with individuals without disabilities. The Federal Rehabilitation Act Section 508 requires the university system to conform with mandated rules and to make electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities.

In its ongoing efforts to meet this federal mandate, the UH Office of Information Technology has added a number of additional resources for faculty and staff in support of UH’s compliance with accessibility of its online resources:

Finally, as an update to UH’s ongoing efforts to improve web accessibility compliance, there will be an initial draft institutional plan for new content available in March for broad review and feedback. Updates will be posted at the Accessibility at UH website.
