Celtic songwriting workshop at UH Hilo

The University of Hawaii at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) is hosting a songwriting workshop with accomplished Celtic violinist Kate MacLeod on Wednesday, April 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. in K-104.
A brief songwriting history with examples of both traditional and contemporary songs to illustrate song style will be given as well as a chance for students to witness the songwriting process in action. Students are encouraged to bring their own compositions and accompaniment instrument.
Tuition is $25 and space is limited. Call CCECS at 974-7664 to register, or for more information.
