Applications available for 2006-2007 Chancellor’s Scholarship

The University of Hawaii at Hiloannounces that applications are being accepted for the Chancellor’s Scholarship for the 2006-2007 academic year. This prestigious four-year scholarship is for Hawai`i high school seniors who are ranked in the top 10 percent of their class and have a grade point average of at least a 3.5. The application deadline is January 31, 2006.
Applications can be downloaded from the UH Hilo Web site (hilo.hawaii.edu) or can be obtained by contacting the UH Hilo Admissions Office (1-800-897-HILO or 974-7414). Application packets were also sent to high school counselors throughout the State.
Up to 18 students will be selected for the scholarship, which includes a full tuition scholarship for four years. Each Chancellor’s Scholar is invited to participate in various leadership and service opportunities throughout their college careers. The value of the scholarship, by the end of four years, is over $10,000.
