Dr. Jerry Jampolsky, M.D. and Dr. Diane Cirincione, Ph.D.

The University of Hawai`i at Hilo is sponsoring "A Weekend of Attitudinal Healing," Friday evening, March 14, and all day Saturday, March 15.

Jerry Jampolsky, M.D., founder of the Center for Attitudinal Healing, and Diane Cirincione, Ph.D., will discuss "Forgiveness and Other Attitudes That Can Change Your Life," at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Church of Holy Apostles at 1407 Kapi`olani (across from the old UH Hilo gym). Admission is free, but seating is limited to 225 people.

Their presentation will explore the powerful role that forgiveness plays in our lives, help us understand the blocks that interfere with the forgiveness process, and discover how to let go of fear, guilt and judgments. Jampolsky and Cirincione are internationally known lecturers who have authored several books, including Love is Letting Go of Fear and Forgiveness: The Greatest Healer of All, which will be available for purchase and signing that night.

On Saturday, Don Goewey and Louise Franklin from the Center for Attitudinal Healing, will lead an all-day workshop entitled, "Attaining Inner Peace: Moving from Stress to Strength." The event is open to anyone in the healing professions, or those wanting to learn more effective ways of managing stress in their daily lives, at work or at home.

The workshop runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the UH Hilo Campus Center 306-307. The cost is $80.00 and enrollment is limited. To register for the workshop, or for more information, please contact the UH Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at (808) 974-7664.
